Spirits have a history unique to almost every culture on the planet. Whether originally used as a remedy, punishment or potion they have played a role in shaping economics, politics and religions. When I travel I look forward to discovering the local and popularized drinks and hearing their stories. These drink ideas and recipes all have either my stamp of approval or intrigue.
